The “gPod”, a phallic-shaped vibrator, is designed to respond automatically to sounds picked up by an accompanying handset, which can plug into anything from a telephone to a music player to a television.The ¥25,000 ($243) gPod was one of a number of toys that went on public view today at Japan’s first-ever sex toy expo in suburban Tokyo.
“You can use it in many ways, for example hooking it up to your mobile phone,” said Ichiro Kameda, the machine’s inventor.

Why do most of the women I tell about these things, in my age group (55 - 65), not believe that they actually exist?
Wasn’t there discussion of a Bluetooth wireless one in Britain a while back that responded to coded SMS messages over cellular telephones?

As for disbelief … perhaps because the media that caters to that demographic have been unwilling to admit that women in their 50s and 60s are sexual, want to be sexual, and deserve to be sexual, and therefore don’t highlight new-fangled sex toys.
That might change, though.
Now that O, The Oprah Magazine has added a sex column and published a feature by Violet Blue about - gasp - porn for women, all the other women’s media will be following O’s lead, I’m sure.
